End of the Year Memo to the Chorus
Note from Miss Klier
Dear Stanley Chorus,
Wow, what an amazing year we've had together!
Congratulations for a wonderful Spring Concert. You did an awesome job at CMEA and then turned around and a week later applied what you learned to improve our concert. Monday night's concert was one of our best yet. I'm very proud of you!
On a personal note, It has been extra special for me to share this year of courtship, engagement, and now our wedding with you. Thank you in advance for the gift of your music at our special day. I look forward to celebrating with you! If you need more information about June 7, please contact me by email.
Don't forget that the Stanley Chorus' final concert of the year is on the last day of school in the afternoon at the 8th grade promotion ceremony on the blacktop at Stanley. Please arrive by 5:00 p.m. in your concert black and white dress attire. This is a MANDATORY performance, as it is the annual tradition for the chorus to sing at this ceremony. Chorus students are allowed to leave after the speeches and their performance before the 8th grade students receive their certificates. Mr. Athayde will release the Chorus at the appropriate time.
As you know, I am taking a leave next year to teach English with my husband at a university in China. I will miss you greatly and would love to stay in touch. Thank you for being such a wonderful group of young ladies. Each of you are very special and have truly lived out to the motto we put on our sweatshirts this year, "Sing from your heart." I hope you continue to do so whether or not you sing in Chorus at school, sing from your heart and keep making music no matter what age you are or wherever you go. Please keep in touch. I wish you all the best and am thankful for the opportunity I've had to be your teacher.
With many thanks and smiles,
Rachael Klier
Remember to "Sing for Joy!" :)
